ECLIPS is a unique collaborative research program based on a vision of generating and disseminating knowledge about sustainable closed-loop systems, systems that encompass all activities related to product reuse, recycling or remanufacturing (product re-X), including:

Business Decisions
Entering re-X markets, closed-loop supply chain management, green marketing, product positioning, competitive response and business innovation;

Engineering Decisions
Reverse logistics network design, energy implications of product re-X, material selection and product design for re-X;

Policy Issues
The impact of regulation (EPR, WEEE, RoHS, permit trading) on business, global competition and economic development; and

City and Regional Planning
Opportunities presented by the development of a recycling infrastructure and industry.
